For an easy and quick meal that can celebrate the best of The Year of the Horse, try this salmon bowl recipe in the air fryer!

 

Eating all types of fish, including salmon, represent wishes of wealth and prosperity in the new year. Eating a whole fish is the most traditional to celebrate at home, but if you just need a quick meal for two, this salmon recipe will do just fine

 

It’s also packed with a ton of flavor thanks to the aromatic and umami-packed marinade. Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce and Premium Soy Sauce combine for layers of umami that pair perfectly with the salmon! Serve alongside lucky dumplings or other festive bites for a simple yet complete New Year meal

How to make it

  1. Whisk together all marinade/sauce ingredients until smooth.

  2. Coat salmon with half of the sauce. Marinate 20–30 minutes.

  3. Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Air fry at 180°C (356°F) for 5 minutes. (They will finish cooking with the salmon.)

  4. Add marinated salmon on top or next to the asparagus. Air fry 8–9 minutes at 180°C.

  5. Brush salmon with more sauce. Switch to grill/broil for 2 minutes to caramelize.

  6. Plate salmon over rice with roasted asparagus. Drizzle with remaining sauce. Finish with sesame seeds.
