One of the classic Sichuan comfort foods, this Ma Po Tofu recipe is perfect for anyone who needs a warming, hearty meal in less than 30 minutes. 

 

The secret to this delicious Ma Po Tofu Recipe is to use Lee Kum Kee Chili Bean Sauce - aka Doubanjiang. This is core to Sichuan cuisine and gives the primary flavor and color for the ma po tofu that makes it shine.

How to make it

  1. Cut tofu into small cubes. Remove excess water with paper towel. Boil the tofu until cooked through, set aside.
  2. Saute Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic and Lee Kum Kee Minced Ginger until fragrant. Add ground pork and stir-fry until cooked through.
  3. Stir in Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavoured Sauce and Lee Kum Kee Chili Bean Sauce and stir-fry until fragrant, then add water.
  4. Add tofu and simmer over low heat until the tofu absorbs the flavor. Add cornstarch water to thicken the sauce. Sprinkle Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil before serving. 
  5. Garnish with green onions, and it¡s ready to serve.
