Transform your gameday wings recipe with this version made with the flavors of Cantonese Char Siu sauce!
Char Siu has a sweet and savory flavor that pairs perfectly with chicken wings. Using Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce and Char Siu Sauce at its core, these are great for marinating and then tossing in the air fryer to cook for a quick and simple way to elevate gameday or any occasion when you’re craving wings!
In a large bowl, mix all marinade ingredients until smooth. Add chicken wings and toss until fully coated. Marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Preheat air fryer to 190°C / 375°F. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed). Air fry for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway and brushing with leftover marinade.
Increase temperature to 200°C / 400°F and cook for an additional 3–5 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
Garnish with sliced scallions and serve hot.
