A great beginners’ recipe for those learning to make dumplings, this dumpling lasagna recipe is an easy way to get all of the dumpling flavors in one simple cup!

 

Dumplings are an essential part of Chinese New Year, with the saying going that the more dumplings you eat on Chinese New Year, the more prosperous you will be! Making dumplings at home can feel daunting at first for this, but to get an idea of the flavors and where to start, this easy version packs tons of flavor and tastes just as good as classic dumplings.

 

Sauces like Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce and Premium Soy Sauce are essential for seasoning, and the Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil is the perfect spicy and crispy condiment to top off the dish!

How to make it

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, napa cabbage, green onions, Lee Kum Kee Minced Ginger, Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic, mushrooms, Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil, mirin, Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce, and Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce. Mix well until evenly combined.
  2. Lightly grease 4 heatproof mugs or ramekins. Place a wonton wrapper at the bottom of each, pressing gently to fit. Add a layer of pork mixture, then another wonton wrapper. Continue alternating layers until the mug or ramekin is nearly full.
  3. Before adding the final layer of wonton wrappers, pour ⅓ cup of water into each mug. Top with 2 wonton wrappers, loosely placed.
  4. Place the mugs or ramekins in a steamer basket. Steam over medium heat for 20 minutes, or until the pork is fully cooked.
  5. Carefully remove from the steamer. Drizzle with Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot and enjoy!
