Easy Fried Brown Rice Recipe

Make brown rice exciting with this easy fried brown rice recipe, infused with plenty of aromatics, fresh veggies, and Lee Kum Kee Less Sodium Soy Sauce.

 

Using Lee Kum Kee Less Sodium Soy Sauce doesn’t compromise at all on flavor, and its rich fragrance and umami tones permeate the entire dish. This fried rice uses a mix of quinoa and brown rice for those looking for a whole grain alternative to white rice, and you can always add extra protein or your other favorite veggies as well!

How to make it

  1. Add 1 Tbsp. of oil to a wok or large frying pan on medium heat. Add the beaten eggs and cook while stirring for 3-4 minutes until scrambled and fully cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.

  2. In the same pan or wok, add the remaining tablespoon of oil on high heat. Add the chopped whites of the green onions, shallots, and Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic. Toss and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add the orange bell pepper, then toss and cook for another minute or so. Once the bell pepper turns translucent, add your cooked and cooled brown rice and quinoa. Use your cooking spoon or spatula to break up any clumps and stir through for 1-2 minutes.

  4. Season the fried brown rice by adding Lee Kum Kee Less Sodium Soy Sauce. Add the soy sauce around the edges of the pan so it doesn’t make the rice moist and sticky.

  5. Add back in the scrambled egg and your defrosted frozen vegetables. Break up any large egg clumps and cook until the vegetables are heated through, about 1-2 more minutes.

  6. Transfer fried rice to a serving plate and top with the thinly sliced green onion greens.
