If you’re cooking for a smaller crowd this Thanksgiving, or if your family just loves turkey breast, this roasted turkey breast recipe with a honey soy glaze will level up the classic Thanksgiving favorite!
Made with Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce, the glaze adds an aromatic balance of umami, sweet, and salty flavors that compliment the turkey perfectly. Brush some on the turkey before roasting as well to add even more flavor!
Whisk together the marinade: 2 Tbsp. Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce, 2 tsp. Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil, ½ cup honey, and ¼ cup water.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Transfer your room temperature turkey breast to a roasting tray and pat dry with paper towels. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and brush over a layer of the marinade on the turkey breast.
Roast for about 20 minutes per pound, basting every 25-30 minutes with the reserve marinade so that it forms a nice glaze. If the skin gets too brown, tent loosely with foil. A fully cooked turkey breast will have an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius). To help prevent overcooking, remove from the oven at 155 degrees Fahrenheit (68 degrees Celsius) and tent with foil for 20 minutes to keep the heat trapped inside. The total roast time should between 1 hr 40 mins and 2 hr 20 mins.
While the turkey rests, make the gravy. Remove 2-3 Tbsp of pan drippings from the roasting tray, and add with the butter into a sauce pan on medium heat. Once butter is melted, stir in the flour to form a roux and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden.
Gradually whisk chicken stock into your roux until fully combined and thickened. Season with Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce and honey, and simmer until thickened.
At the table, carve turkey breast into slices and pour gravy over the top to serve. Enjoy, and look for more holiday dish ideas on our recipes page!
