Shrimp Stir Fry Recipe with Egg Noodles and Oyster Sauce

This simple shrimp stir fry recipe can be on the dinner table in less than 20 minutes, but taste like it was masterfully chef crafted!

 

That’s all thanks to the Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce, which delivers chef-quality umami taste and accentuates the flavors of the shrimp and the vegetables. It makes for a simple stir fry sauce mix that can be added to the shrimp and any veggies and noodles you like! In this particular recipe, egg noodles were used, but lo mein or rice noodles could also be used.

How to make it

  1. Mix the sauce:


    In a small bowl, whisk together Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce, Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce, sugar, Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil, and water. Set aside. 

  2. Cook the noodles:


    Boil noodles according to package directions until just tender. Drain and toss with a drizzle of sesame oil to prevent sticking. 

  3. Cook the shrimp:


    Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside. 

  4. Stir-fry the veggies:


    In the same wok, add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp. 

  5. Combine everything:


    Add noodles, shrimp, and sauce to the wok. Toss well until everything is coated in the glossy sauce, and serve.
