A perfect light starter for a holiday or family gathering, this smoked salmon roulade on cucumber recipe is getting a twist thanks to Lee Kum Kee sauces.


Typically made with capers and dill, we add a kick of heat from Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo, as well as some Less Sodium Soy Sauce for dipping. This exciting twist on the classic smoked salmon and cucumber combo will be a talking point for your holiday table!

How to make it

  1. Cut the ends off of each cucumber and split in half lengthwise. Use a vegetable peeler to shave even thin ribbons of cucumber. Slice your salmon and avocado into thin strips as well.
  2. Shingle a layer of around 5-6 strips of cucumber on a cutting board and pat dry. Spread a thing layer of cream cheese across the width of your cucumber ribbons so the top or bottom third of all five are coated. 
  3. Layer a few slices of smoked salmon (about an ounce) and avocado on the cream cheese, then drizzle on Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo to taste.
  4. Roll carefully and tightly to form a smoked salmon roulade on cucumber. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds and slice into sushi roll-like pieces.
  5. Arrange the sliced rolls on a plate and serve with Lee Kum Kee Less Sodium Soy Sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
